Printing a book – the power of networking
I have been translating and typing up a family member’s autobiography. It’s to be read by family members only, so a very few copies are needed. But we would like to have the finished book nicely printed and bound.
I sent a mail to the Mikronet members, asking if they could recommend any printers willing to handle not only a very small number of books, but also able to do so for an economical price, and had 11 replies within minutes.
It just goes to show what a fantastic resource we Mikronetters are – a remarkable source of knowledge. By the end of the day I had had 15 replies and some really helpful comments. Networking is powerful stuff!
I’ll be investigating costs, delivery times etc. for each printer and have promised to mail this to all Mikronet members.
Post a comment if you would like to see the result.
